  2. My brother attended Wicken Park school around 1986. My dad taught there and my mum worked with the matrons. We lived in a flat joined on to the boarding school building.
When I was allowed, I found exploring the school and its grounds fascinating!

I remember "DV" and his wife, and Mr Bodley.

My brother was the only day boy. As it was an all-boys' school, I went to the local primary school in Deanshanger. We used the tennis courts in the holidays, and my brother and me would explore the nearby woods.

A great childhood memory. Unfortunately it was short-lived, and we moved in '87. If I remember correctly, Mr Vaudrey sold the school at that point?

  4. I was in Wicken park from 85-86-87, until the school was sold? I have some old photos and will try to upload them. I went back some years ago to the school. It had not changed much from the outside.
I loved that school, also DV was a total legend.

  8. I have just requested to join. As a girl, I wasn't a pupil at the school, but hope my request will be accepted on the basis that my brother was there, both my parents worked there and we all lived on the premises 😊

I love reminiscing on older (and in some ways better) times. I remember meeting DV and his wife 😀
